Is cold pressed food really dry dog food?
Yes, and it's the same convenience with more nutrition left in. It's shelf stable, needs no refrigeration, and stores exactly like kibble. The difference is the process: extrusion cooks kibble at high heat and pressure, which strips out heat sensitive nutrients and natural aroma.
The pellet also breaks down gradually in the stomach instead of swelling like kibble does, which is easier on digestion.
How much should I feed my dog?
Cold-pressed food is more nutritionally-rich than traditional kibble. This means that your dog needs around 30% less of Nextrition when compared to kibble. Is your dry dog food suitable for puppies and seniors?
Yes. Our cold-pressed recipes are formulated to meet AAFCO profiles for all life stages, including large breed puppies.
Every recipe has a feeding chart with separate amounts for adult dogs and for puppies at 1.5 to 6 months and 6 to 12 months, so only the portion changes with age.
How do I switch my dog to a new dry food?
Transition over 7 to 10 days, gradually increasing the new food and decreasing the old. For dogs with sensitivities, stretching it to 14 days helps.
How do I store it, and how long does it last?
Keep it in the original resealable bag in a cool, dry place, away from heat and direct sunlight. It's shelf-stable, so it doesn't need refrigeration. Check the best-by date printed on the bag, and once it's opened, seal it after each use to keep it fresh.
